What is IPM?

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a method used to control pests in an environmentally responsible manner. By reducing our dependence on pesticides, IPM protects the environment and our health. It also saves money.

 

IPM of NH combines different IPM techniques to prevent damage from pests including insects, mites, rodents, certain birds, plant diseases, and weeds without harming the environment. Practices used include monitoring, modifying pest habitat, protecting natural enemies, and, when needed, the use of pesticides.
